The Vice chancellor, University of Jos. Prof Seddi Sabastian Maimako has yesterday, 1st October 2018 addressed students amidst the ongoing crisis in Jos.
In his address the vice chancellor stated that, all security measures have been put in place and security men have been dispatched in numbers to various hostels to protect the lives of students and guarantee modest environment for normal academic activities.
Adressing Academic Matters,
The Vice chancellor pointed out that the institution is far behind in its academic calendar and yet to catch up with other institutions, he therefore advises students to be of the safest behavior and follow all security procedures in order not to endanger any life. in line with that, the Vice Chancellor added that academic activities will hopefully resume Wednesday, 3rd October 2018 as the institution is still on session and nothing should disrupt academic activities.

Prof. Maimako Sabastian among many things said ended his address with a caution note to all student. All students are therefore advised to be security cautious.
Welfare packages were also offered to students
Present during the address were, the Vice Chancellor, Plateau State Governor as represented by the commissioner of youth and sport & the dean of students affairs, University of Jos. They all addressed the students at the Aluta Ground, University of Jos, Abuja Hostel.
Therefore students are advised to remain put or only move out of the hostel under tight and guaranteed security.
