“Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you.”Tyrion Lannister.
This is true for indigenes of Southern Kaduna who have chosen to bear the name “Chongai” – once used as a derogatory term indicating that they were inferior to their counterparts in the state.
Leading the charge for the adoption of this new identity is young talented HipHop sensation Acelish and he is taking no prisoners. The song CHONGAI captures this very sentiment being that a rebirth is inevitable as “Chongai is bout to return”.
The song captures the essence of his personality and shows how versatile and well-read he is. With “double entendres” littered on almost every line, Acelish has shown his mastery of this HipHop thing and we cannot afford not to stan!
More to it is that his Game of Thrones reference “King in the North, Arewa Jon but Snow doesn’t fall up in here, You can’t relate? Maybe the game for the throne isn’t cut out for you after all” has got to be the best I’ve heard and I’ve heard a lot.
